New build development comprising of 9 town houses and 8 apartments, complete with an under croft car park and gardens with driveways for the houses.
BEC were awarded the contract to undertake the works from ground floor slab up. Traditional construction brick and block work walls, concrete and timber floors, cut and pitch timber roof with slate tile finish. Externally the project is finished with aluminium windows and doors, and timber cladding completes the facade, internally the project is fitted out to a very high standard.
This development will comprise of the refurbishment of the four storeys building on Tontine Street and new build two storey residential and studio spaces to the rear, which backs onto Mill Bay Car Park. On completion the scheme will provide five commercial units on the ground floor, three flats and five small houses.
We handed over phase one to the client in August 2020 consisted of the refurbishment of the existing block to create a new commercial unit and 3 residential flats.
The Chatham Maritime estates office project consists of new timber frame offices comprising of a meeting room that over hangs the jetty, open plan office space, kitchen and toilets, external cladding in black larch.
This project is a Design and Build 15 bedroom Care home. It is a traditional build with piled foundations, precast concrete ground and first floor, with low bearing masonry to the ground floor.
The first floor is a timber frame structure, the building will have a single ply roof, velfac composite aluminium windows and doors, the internal finishes will be to match client requirements, and externally there is a new car park and hard and soft landscaping.
The work at Barton Court care home consists of a new extension, being built onto the existing building to provide 16 new bedrooms for residents at this facility. This project is being carried out on an active site therefore the care home is remaining open throughout this work so we are having to work around staff and residents whilst completing this extension.
The works comprise of the construction of a new 2 storey teaching block to house an autistic unit to the ground floor and 4Nr general teaching spaces to the first floor, including external works and drainage
The works comprise the demolition and removal of existing buildings located on site to facilitate the construction of a new single storey extension/building connected to the existing school. Within the new build extension, we will be creating a new hydrotherapy pool and a sunken trampoline. Further works outline minor refurbishment works to the existing structure/rooms where the new building is to connect to.
This work is being carried out on an active school site.
The works comprise of the construction of a three-storey detached building comprising of a ground floor commercial unit and seven residential flats.
This project consists of the design and build of 8No. New dwellings, including external works and associated drainage.
